You don't get any rest when you sleep, so your brain malfunctions. I took lots of really bad drugs. So did Jerry. Your "grandad" doesn't live healthily. Now that my apnea is treated, I have not touched any of the crap I used to do. Not even tempted. It's like I woke up from a nightmare. You have no idea. I just wish Jerry could have gotten treatment for his apnea: he'd still be alive I bet.

Apparently diabetes and heart damage (what killed Jer.) are the two major expressions of that systemic damage. I believe that with children now getting apnea treatment, there will be a drop in both of those, as those children won't be accumulating such systemic damage. We'll see.

My grandmothers husband has diabetes, and he has sleep apnea. Granted ,he had the apnea before, but his diabetes was caused by his unhealthy diet/lifestyle. And the diabetes made it worse.

I have triple severe sleep apnea, and have not yet, thank fortune, contracted diabetes. Studies have shown that treatment of sleep apnea, (do you know how it is treated?), reduces diabetic severity. My grandmother died from diabetes, probably caused by untreated sleep apnea. Isn't it clear: the sleep apnea is the cause not the effect. Derr.
